The average cost to house one animal awaiting adoption in our shelter ranges between $150-$250. That cost consists of medications, veterinary fees, bathing and grooming, feeding, staffing, and general building operations. As is true for most animal shelters, we do not receive any local, state or federal funding to help with our operational costs. All of our services and programs are funded by charitable contributions and revenue from service fees. For this reason, it is important for our community to realize that maintaining the shelter and providing services requires county wide effort and support.

It costs $1000 a month on average to keep our building warm in the winter and cool in the summer so the animals can be comfortable. Please consider using a Wisconsin Public Service gift certificate to help us pay our utility bills; your generosity in this area would be most appreciated.
