After the construction of the shelter, it will cost approximately $100 to house one animal for an average stay. That consists of medications, veterinarian fees, bathing and grooming, feeding, cleaning the cages, staffing and general building operations.
Sponsoring an area of the new shelter (e.g., waiting area, exam room, etc.) or a cage is a wonderful way to remember or honor a loved one or a special pet. Building the shelter and providing services will require a county-wide effort. The Oconto Area Human Society does not receive any local, state or federal grants. All of the services and programs will be funded from charitable contributions and revenue from service fees.
